ABSTRACT. We have investigated the content of antioxidant trace elements (Mn, Fe, Cu, Zn, Se) in the mesenteric lymph node at different stages of ontogenesis and after phytotherapy. Trace elements were determined by the method of rentgenofluorescent analysis using synchrotron radiation. The results showed that concentrations of trace elements and their association with structural and functional zones of the lymph node are changed depending on the period of ontogenesis. Age-related changes lead to a decrease in the protective functions of the lymph node and combined with the imbalance of trace elements. The imbalance of trace elements expressed in excess of Mn and deficiency of Fe, Zn and Se. At the same time there are associations of trace elements with the structural and functional zones of the lymph node, varied in strength and priority. The use of phytotherapy in the later stage of ontogenesis provides progressive morphogenesis in the background optimization of trace element status and changes in the interactions between trace elements and structural and functional zones of the lymph node. The original phytocomplex is potent to be used for nutritional support in elderly and senile age.
